Since time immemorial, mankind seems to have strived to gain one-upmanship over itself & the earth in its penchant to prove that it is a better and superior creation of God. To this end, he has continued to create gadgets and weapons that have continued to not just create a menace for mankind but also has become a lethal weapon of destruction for Mother Earth – one of the most beautiful creations in this Universe. This collection of photographs is an ardent & hard work of Mr. Sridhar Tumari’s passion to capture & present to the world a glimpse of the havoc that was created by the sadism of mankind after the Nuclear War through photography that he has taken painstakingly and created a portfolio over a period of ten years. An old Native American proverb quotes aptly, “We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.” This could not be far from the truth at all.
Knock, Knock! I heard my conscience reach out to me,
Ignorantly I refused to acknowledge its message to me.
Impending doom I could feel screamed like a ghoul,
As I looked at my reflection, it was my battered soul.
I ruminated for solutions as there was transformation,
I found myself slipping into a shell of contemplation,
Our choices and actions define who we are as humans,
Time records our misdemeanor meticulous patience,
When weapons of destruction are chosen for a goal,
The Universe shall always rise higher to call our fowl.
